Syringe Shields

ALARA provides a variety of easy-to-use syringe shields to protect clinicians from exposures using radionuclides, like Tc-99m, FDG F-18, Tl-201, and I-131. We carry all Capintec/Biodex syringe shields, including leaded glass shields for better visibility, tungsten shields to reduce weight and improve shielding, or non-magnetic/MRI safe shields.

Pro-Tec II Syringe Shield

Syringe secured and released with a set screw. Available for 3 or 5 cc syringes, with or without lead glass window.

Gaard Lock PET Syringe Shields

Dose Drawing Syringe Shields

Dose Drawing Syringe Shields reduce hand exposure when drawing doses from a shielded vial. Constructed of optically clear high density lead glass, the barrel of the syringe shield offers complete 360° visibility while reducing radiation exposure from Tc-99m by more than 99%.
